Sharifah Ma'arof

An accomplished senior executive with over 20 years of leadership experience at Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLICs) in Malaysia, with a distinguished track record spanning corporate strategy, performance management, investment governance, and organizational transformation across both public-linked institutions and private sector enterprises.  Began her career in taxation services with PwC Malaysia, providing corporate tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

With a unique combination of corporate strategy expertise, investment management experience, and people-centric leadership, Sharifah is passionate about creating sustainable business value, strengthening organizational capabilities, and leading transformational growth initiatives that contribute to long-term economic and societal impact. 

She holds a Master of Science in Counselling from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. A Registered Counsellor with the Board of Counsellors Malaysia, she also serves as a Volunteer Counsellor with Talian Kasih, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence, community service, and people-centered leadership.
